They said the 33-year-old, who is known to the woman, left the scene in a silver Peugeot station wagon and two hours later was located travelling north on the Great Northern Highway, north of Bindoon.

Police said the man refused to stop.

“Officers activated emergency lights and sirens, however the driver failed to stop and an evade police incident ensued,” they said.

“The vehicle came to a stop on Great Northern Highway in Bindi Bindi following the successful deployment of a tyre deflation device.

“The 33-year-old man, who was acting aggressively, challenged police and a taser was deployed.”

Homicide squad detectives are now investigating the deaths and are still combing through the Byford property on Monday morning.

9 News Perth reporter Sarah Smith told Radio 6PR that neighbours were waking up to the news of what had occurred, with many unaware of what had unfolded.
