Emergency Services have rushed a woman to the hospital after she was stabbed in the neck in Brisbane’s CBD.
Sky News commentator Des Houghton says an Anglican priest in Queensland is pushing for churches to sell blocks of land which is not being used frequently so it can be “recycled”.
“He did so in his own church, he was the parish priest at Manly, in Bayside Brisbane, almost has views of the ocean, and there were only 12 parishioners, and they decided to sell the church to the state school next door.”
“The church is now being repurposed as a performing arts centre.”
At approximately 1.30pm, officers responded to reports two women were involved in a disturbance.
Paramedics transported one of the women, who had a life-threatening wound to her neck, to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
The incident occurred on the corner George Street and Turbot Street in Brisbanes CBD at 1.44pm on Saturday.
Police have declared a crime scene and are investigating the alleged assault.
A second woman was taken into custody near the scene.
Investigations are continuing.
