A woman has been found dead in green waste at a waste management facility in Melbourne’s north.
On Saturday morning, Victoria Police said in a statement that staff at the business on Cooper Street in Epping found a body while moving the green waste on Wednesday.
Police believe the woman was inside a bin that was picked up outside a property in Coolaroo on Tuesday and taken to the Epping waste facility.
“A significant CCTV canvas of the Coolaroo area is underway and police are keen to speak to anyone who may have CCTV or dash-cam footage, particularly between Sunday, June 23 and Tuesday, July 2,” the police statement said.
