Women’s Golf Finishes Fourth for WGCA Team GPA Award – West Texas A&M University Athletics

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – On Tuesday, the Women’s Golf Coaches Association announced the organizations’ WGCA All-Scholar Team GPA Award. The award recognizes the women’s collegiate golf program with the highest collective average team GPA which includes all the team’s student-athletes for the 2023-24 season.
 
The Lady Buffs finished fourth in the standings with a team GPA of 3.821 for the 2023-24 academic year. Findlay took the top honor with a team GPA of 3.919 followed by Davenport at 3.915 and Rollins at 3.835. WT leads the way as one of three Lone Star Conference schools in the top 25.
 
After finishing second in the stroke play portion of the 2024 NCAA Division II National Championships, the Lady Buffs made the Medal Match round for the third-consecutive season where they tied eventual National Champion Indianapolis, falling to the Greyhounds on a tiebreaker.
