Much-loved Australian cycling great Cadel Evans has finally married his long-term Italian partner Stefania Zandonella.
After recently celebrating their nine-year anniversary, the loved-up couple have tied the knot in a stunning yet low-key wedding on the island of Mauritius.
With a simple post on Instagram, Zandonella — a former pro skiier — confirmed the news.

“Mr and Mrs Evans,” she declared, with a picture of Evans and herself kissing on a short pier or jetty and holding a bouquet of flowers.
Zandonella wore a beautiful, summery gown (with a veil that reached the ground), while Evans also rocked the summer vibes with no shoes and an open-necked shirt.
The hit song All of Me (by John Legend) was featured when Zandonella walked down the aisle.
It has been reported that only 30-odd guests were invited, including Zandonella’s father and her two children with Evans, Aidan and Blake.
It is Evans second marriage.
He was previously married to Chiara Passerini but their marriage ended in 2014.
Evans and Passerini have an adopted son, Robel, who also at the wedding.
Evans became world famous when he won the Tour de France in 2011.
He is also a four-time Olympian, won a gold medal in the Commonwealth Games, and won gold in the 2009 World Championships.
He now has the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race (streamed live and free on 7plus) named in his honour.
Friends and fans were quick to pass on their congratulations to the newlyweds, with many messages in Italian.

“Stunning!!!!! 😍😮,” another wrote.
“Fantastici 👏👏👏💯💯❤️❤️❤️,” another said.
